Likewise that's enough time to start dipping your toes into things like trading, manufacturing, or exploring. It's very possible to get into PvP combat after just a few days or weeks in the game. The satisfaction that you get out of the game is going to depend very heavily on your goals and what you hope to achieve. Note that I said "make your own adventure" not "choose your own adventure," because the game definitely does not provide any set paths for you to follow. You can be a decent tackler, that is someone that locks down ships so they can't move and flee, within about three days of skill-training. They will teach you how to play the game and how to fling yourself at things until they go pop. You can start having fun within a day if you really want to, depending on what you call "fun." Want PVP? Join one of the many newbie introduction corps that give out ships, skill books, and training plans to newbros. You can do some of the basic stuff, like the tutorial, learning mission running, how to mine, that sort of thing, but it's also fairly basic and low profit since you're a new character.
